Some posit that, in order to grow more efficientl y, plants absorb that light and use the energy, where they might otherwise be reflecting the light (and we would see blue).

That’s interesting - I’ve always wondered why there is no naturally occurring blue food. It’s weird.
But on the other hand, a lot of mold is blue- so perhaps we’re turned off by blue as a defense against eating mold?
